Job Description :

The Key Account Manager is responsible for achieving channel objectives, KPIs and targets at assigned key customers. Where directed, the KAM develops new customers in a manner that will achieve short and long-term, profitable growth at the account.

Key Account Manager responsibilities include :

Developing trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition
Acquiring a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
Expanding the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives

Job brief :

We are looking for a skilled Key Account Manager to oversee the relationship’s of the company with its most important clients. You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining long term key customers by comprehending their requirements.
The ideal candidate will be be apt in building strong relationships with strategic customers. You will be able to identify needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction.
The goal is to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.

Major Job Responsibilities :

  • Participate in the integrated Commercial Planning Process (ICP is the annual planning process) through development of annual Customer Plans that support Brand and Channel Plans.
  • Where directed, identify sales opportunities, networking and fact-finding and calling on and closing new accounts.
  • Manage execution of agreements / contracts and perform visual audits of accounts, correct compliance issues, identify new sales opportunities.
  • Manage and penetrate customers at all levels and develop relationships with commercial and non-commercial accounts that enable achievement of plans and objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver effective selling presentations that implement approved Customer Business Plans and employ effective game theory and negotiating strategies.
  • Communicate approved retail activities, promotional plans, merchandising and new item authorizations with the Retail Team to ensure relentless retail execution.
  • Leverage management tools to analyze data on a variety of critical business drivers ranging from coverage productivity and time allocation to retail conditions and program compliance.

Develop timely and accurate forecasts (volume and spend) for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year

  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics

Requirements

  • Proven experience as key account manager
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • College Degree and three or more years field sales and account management professional experience. Able to work in low bureaucratic/political environment, outside the box thinker, sense of humility, flexible, adaptable to changing conditions, and be an excellent team player.
